Meet Jeannette Hernandez,
our Head Pastry Chef.
A Corpus Christi native, Jeannette grew up baking fresh breads and scratch pastries with her mom. Her love of baking led Jeannette on a delicious journey: from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin to San Antonio’s Southerleigh Fine Food and Brewery and even to her own online fine pastry bakery, Sucré. In 2021, after building a reputation for her exquisite pastries in Corpus Christi, she eventually joined Water Street Restaurants.
Her sweet path is paved with a love of balanced flavors, delicious tastes and textures, and unmatched attention to detail. When she’s not busy making fine pastries, Jeannette is spending time with her two children, enjoying the outdoors, and her second passion of playing the piano.
